Hi,
Our SMEG oven. S399X-6< seems to be locked or something. The 6 is blinking, but all the oven functions are not working. The only thing which works is the clock.
I think a reset or unlock it would do the job. But does anybody know how this can be done. It is not in the manual.
Thanks for your help!
Use a flashlight and look into the hole from where you normally feel hot airflow. Locate the hook holding the door on the left side. Using a thin screwdriver or a knife gently push the hook to the left. Voila! The door is open and functions are back working normally. Also known as Error 4 interlock problem. This will depends on the model of the oven

does not need an additional 13a supply

Check that the oven is on the 'manual cooking' setting rather than Automatic, if its on Auto it will not come on until the time set.

It sounds like you have either one of the following things that need attention. First, turn off both breakers to the oven and then back on. Next check the wiring from the receptacle to the back of the oven. Next, check your internal fuses. Most ovens have them. Last, check the wiring to the elements and control switches. Somewhere you have a wire burned off the terminals or control switch. That smell you referred to is probably one of the wires that may be burned.

hi, if you have a faulty clock it is likely the relay in the clock is stuffed you could try to repair it but i think you are better off just buying a new clock, clocks are expensive thou, so bypassing is a good choice
