My memorex usb 2.0 4gb traveldrive is reading as full when there is nothing on it. how do I clean it up or reformat it so i can use it again?

You can reformat it by opening up My Computer, right-clicking on the drive, and clicking format. I recommend formatting your drive as NTFS as it will give you an option.

Hi jlaybon

You cannot access with yout the password. I would suggest you to get the computer reformatted with the clean installation with the operating system of your choice.

Cannot reformat. Always says windows cannot complete reformat

The disk-drive inside the enclosure is malfunctioning.

Disassemble the enclosure, and remove the disk-drive.
Take the drive to any computer store, and buy a compatible drive -- same size, same interface (SATA? IDE?).
Then "transplant" it into the enclosure,
to "reconstitute" your external storage device.
