New phone - sent one text and received one text - now says memory full. Checked memory availability and says there is plenty. Erased everything. Still no go.

I took my v3m to Verizon store and all they done was enabled the auto erase. BUT this does not fix the problem. the memory is still as full as it was when i started. Get insurance. Turn your phone off. Tell your provider you lost it. maybe the newer v3m s dont have this problem, then again maybe they do..... Solution UPGRADE!

I have the same problem, only sent one text and now memory is full. I have deleted everything possible and it shows memory is okay. Should I take it to a Verizon store?

I am having the same problem, and memory area shows that there is plenty available, but I can not send text or receive text messages because it comes up memory full. I took phone into verizon and they claim it is something wrong with the phone and they were upset that I purchased from ebay to avoid phone contract. (we've been getting our phones off ebay for 5 years with no problems) It seems like this is something very common with this phone. Would love to have the solution.

Go to Message > Settings > All Msg. Select Auto Erase and turn it on. After this, you can turn it back off and the "Memory Full" message will go away.

Okay, here is what I found out about my verizon motorola v3m which was showing memory full also. This particular phone does not allow you to send text messages or pictures unless you have a texting plan. We had a family plan, that included the main phone having free texting, my phone and my son's phone had texting at .20 cents a text (which we thought we had free texting also, but didn't). Regretfully the motorola v3m has to be on a paid texting service if you use verizonm tge ,20 cents a text will not work. We paid for the damn service, and the phone is now working properly for texting, sending pictures, and receiving text and pics. It no longer shows "memory is full".
Damn Verizon yet again! They strip the phones from everything that motorola puts on them and then makes you pay for everything thing you do.

Will not send text, phone is telling me memory full

Most feature phones have a very limited amount of memory on them, usually between 100-250 text messages are allowed. This means you will have to go through and delete some of your messages in your inbox. You can delete unwanted messages one by one or delete the entire inbox. The delete buttons exist in different places depending on your cell phone model.

Texting problem

in your messaging screen, choose settings (soft key). Under "all messages" choose option 2 "auto erase". Switch this to on. If you also switch "auto save" to on, it will store up to 50 texts before deleting the oldest text as new ones are received. Anyway, turning auto erase on is the way to fix your problem. I don't know what it is, but razrs can be finicky like that sometimes.

Memory Help

Just a note,

Despite the fact that this is a wonderfull solution and bravo for solving it just to mention that even when the memory of the phone is large the text memory is most likely a reserved size.

In some phones this memory is not reserved but it is not easy to tell from specifications.

Regards to all

I have a Motorola V3c

Text messages are not the only thing that uses up memory in the V3C. Have you added any of the following to your V3C?

1. Pictures
2. Videos
3. Ring tones

The first 2 items can eat up a lot of memory. Try deleting some of these to free up memory space.

Good Luck,

- Jim
