Olympus ds-2400 voice recorder is saving files as ds2 - how do we convert them to dss

If you have the Olympus software on your computer, either transcription or dictation module, you can change it there. Left click once to highlight the file you want to change then keep your cursor on that file and right click once go up to convert and that is where you can change it to a wav. file

I am looking for these drivers for vista or 7 as well... any luck?????

Try logging into Olympus support. The site is a little difficult to navigate but go in through the professional digital dictaphones and then into archived (or older) models until you find the DS 330. Follow the links to software downloads and you should be able to download the DSS suite and all updates. The DSS suite automatically recognizes most Olympus DSS models. If you will "save" the downloads first, you can burn them to a disk so that you will have a back up copy

When using the DSS Player v7 software the program is unable to convert WMA to WAV. The option you see there only works when it is a .dss file that needs to be converted to .wav. In order to convert WMA to WAV you will need to locate a third party software program that does this type of conversion.

Go to google and search on WMA to WAV conversion editors.

olympusamerica.com/files/dssplayer.zip is the download link for DSS player but you will have to call Olympus for a replacement key. I have found it works best to SAVE and then install the download. They did not give me a hard time about getting a new key.
