What is the full model number?

I don't see this error code in the manual. I do see nP as an error code for Window Switch lockout. I just had this happen to me and they had me reset the control board.

Remove case, flick master switch to OFF for 10 seconds. Press Heat/Cool same time turn switch back on HOLD until off light comes on.

You should be fixed. Just had to do this for my unit. I was playing around with the settings and turned on the window switch option by accident.

see if you can find a new board the power failure fried it

Does this unit have 2 breakers to it? The model you put down is a PTAC and generally just plugs in to the wall so it would have only 1 breaker. If I recall correctly it's got a 5 year warranty on parts so it may be worth it to check with your local HVAC tech and have them do a diagnostic for you. A good place to start would be Amana who can tell you the authorized service company in your area. They'll get the part for free and should roll the diag fee into the repair cost so you'll only pay for labor (if it even needs a part). Their sales and service number is: 1-800-647-2982. theunit is in freeze protection.what you need to do is hold the t-stat buld to bring the temp up and it will come back on shortly.dont unplug the unit.when it gets to cald it goes into freeze protection so pipes in house dont freeze

there is a drain plug inside unit.pull unit out of hole and look down to right side of unit in the drain pan you will see a plastic drain port knock it out and the unit will drain

These units are changed out quite often. You should be able to find you a cover on line. Try any ac parts web site. Russ You will need model number of unit.
