Ok what you gotta do is connect the pink e-brake wire with the black wire that is already connected to the radio as the grounding.
UV10 Works 100%!!!!
Greetings from Montenegro
If you ground the pink wire on the wiring harness, it will bypass the emergency brake.
Not sure if this will do it, but try this:
w/ the remote hit setup, 5,4,3,2,1,0
this will open another screen
press tool icon
press break override and switch setting to on(or off, which ever position it isn't currently in.)
hope this help, this is the formula for UV8/9
Ok so i have not found a fix to this just yet but i do have a work around for now just put a dvd in then on the remote hit setup and type in 5,4,3,2,1,0 and the screen will go from blue to showing your dvd. hope this can hold you over untill i find a code ect...
Jensen uv10 bypass. Hook pink brake wire to ground from radio. just did it and it works fine, video plays all the time now.
Hook the e brake bypass to the ground wire, and it will show any time you put in a dvd
SOURCE: how can i bypass the brake deal so i can watch dvd
some radios are stupid and look only for a voltage on the pin and says yep the brake is on
some radios are clever and look for voltage on the brake pin and also the virecles speed ect
so i recomend that you first connect the brake pin on the radio to ground and test the radio
if it doesnt work then conenct 12V to the pin and see if it works
i recomend that you get someone in the passengers seat and go out for a quick drive to make sure
my radio is the clever one and it knows when the car is moving or not
SOURCE: bypass code that works for playing video .
ground the yellow wire and then it will always play regardless of the gear its in
