Dish 311 won't detect switches

My Dish 311 will not detect the switches. Started out with a 005 error then just quit detecting LMB. Aother unit works fine on same wiring. I'm pretty good with a DMM so can check at componet level with instruction.

Dishnetwork is kind of tricky on the detect switch thing. sometimes if you are having troubles on just one receiver you have to run detect switch over and over again, sometimes as much as maybe 20 or 30 times. if it still doesn't work, hope you have a service plan so they will send you another unit to switch out. also try a different LNB ( low noise block downconverter) and check switch a few times. i know that sounds kind of stupid, but it works sometimes.

Sat finder detects signal on 61.5 Sat but receiver does not display or lock.

Hi, Mary with Dish Network Customer Service. The 61.5 Satellite carries mostly High Definition programming. If your Satellite Dish is an older model, it is not equipped to bring that Satellite in. It is the part on the Dish called the LNBF (the eyes) that will pick up the satellites. Your receiver is a Standard Definition, you should be reading the 119 & 100 Satellites. I hope this helped but if you have additional questions, please let me know.

My 311 is connected to a dish 100.2. It has worked fine for a while. A few days ago it lost signal. I ran a swith check and it said there was fewer satilites than normal. Well I checked out the dish and it...

firerun1,

When you get the message 836, found fewer satellites than previously detected, it usually indicates a problem with a component between the dish and receiver. Normally a tech needs to be sent out to find the problem and to fix it.

Depending on the number of receivers you have active on your account, you may have a loose cable to that receiver if other receivers are working okay. If you have a switch between the dish and receiver, a port on the switch may be bad. If this is occurring on all your receivers, you'll need to call Customer Service to setup a Tech visit.

I hope this helps.

I put a load in it started then it started to beep it is blinking H then it blinks to a F what could it be? the washer is a duet

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error code F/H means no water was detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip not detected. If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. It can also happen if the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow meter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash. You'll need to Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display and then check:

  1. If there is no water in the unit:
  2. Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way.
  3. Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves
  4. Verify inlet valve operation
  5. If there is water in the unit:
  6. Verify Drain pump operation
  7. Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch
  8. Verify there is not a siphon problem
  9. Verify wire harness connections to; Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump, Flow Meter and Central Control Unit (CCU)
  10. Check all hoses for possible leaks
  11. Verify pressure switch operation
  12. Verify flow meter operation
  13. Verify CCU operation

Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load

Hello lilo1
Welcome

You said, You are getting an error code F/H but it works most of the time. Then it just quits
You may have low water pressure which the machine senses and after some minutes will shut down .
If any pump runs with insufficient water pressure it will burn out the pump so washers are made with auto shutoff's in those case it does shut off.
Check that the water valves are passing water out of the taps that are connected to the washer and they did not fail.
When you remove the water supply hose from the washer inlet, you will probably find the screens in the washer water inlet are blocked and need to be removed and cleaned off and then replaced.
Do not bend them up and you can re use them!
Below are causes and more remedies
Let me know how it goes!

Dish Network - Dish 500 Satellite 110 is not being recognized

You will need a DP or Legacy twin or quad, or DPP twin without using an external switch. If you use Legacy Duals, or DP Duals you will need a switch. USUALLY a SW21 is used to combine the signals but you may have a different one in use if at all.

The primary thing to remember when using a switch is that you must use the same type of LNB as switch e.g. Legacy switches with Legacy LNB's and Dish Pro switches with Dish Pro LNB's.

Check your LNB type. Legacy LNB's have only a Dish Network Logo on them, Dish Pro has DP on them and DPP have DP PLUS on them.

One of three things could be the cause:

1. Line of site. Must be clear of all obstructions to ensure adequate signal.

2. You have a faulty switch, or conflicting LNB and switch, or no switch at all.

3 you may have a bad port on the LNB.

As a fail safe check that your mount is level and plumb. You also may have the dish pointed directly at 119. Check the Skew and elevation settings as well. If LOS IS THE ISSUE YOU MAY NEED TO RELOCATE THE DISH OR REMOVE THE OBSTRUCTION.

In some extreme cases microwave towers and High Voltage lines also pose a problem but doubt this is the case for you.
