From memory to stick

By accident, I took 20 photos, and had the wrong film stick in the camera, so the photos are in the camera internal memory only. I now have the proper stick. How do I get the photos out of the camera's memory into the stick?

The only way I know how to to do this is to remove the memory stick and download the photos to your computer. Then replace the memory stick and move the photos from your computer to the memory stick.

How to transfer pictures from internal storage to memory card

Some cameras have enough internal memory to hold several shots so the camera does not have to immediately write to the memory card. However, if you mistakenly shoot (I have done this) without a memory card, you will not be able to recover any of the photos you took the time to shoot. Hope that isn't what happened. I have started carrying a second memory card so that when I remove one to install into my laptop, I immediately put in the other card so this error doesn't accidently occur again.

The Photo's are currently stored on the cameras internal memory, you'll need to transfer them to the card using the camera's menu options.

Failing that, plug the camera into your PC and switch on, a box should appear asking you which programme would you like to access the new device with.

Select the folder option, then click on and open any folders therein, one will be the camera memory the other the card memory.

Hi,

To copy the images from the Internal Memory of the Camera to the Memory Stick select the COPY option from the Memory Stick Tool Menu of the Camera to OK.
To select the Copy option, press MENU-->SETUP-->MEMORY STICK TOOL-->COPY-->OK.
The copy option will copy all the images in the Internal Memory to the Memory Stick in the Camera.

Recently purchased Sony Cybershot DSCW180. Took 3

Yes, you need to have memory stick because camera has limited internal memory that can store few pictures only.
Put new memory card, format it through camera Menu and copy internal memory pictures to memory stick, take our memory card from camera and delete internal memory pictures either one by one or format internal memory through camera Menu.
Thanks.

Cannot get my photos from memory stick to progess beyond the 1st 5 photos. they keep repeating. I never had a manual.

Hi there.

1st) How did you put the photos on your stick? Did you load them from a computer, or did you load them off a camera?

If you loaded them off a camera, did you format the card before you took the pics, or before transferring them from the camera's internal memory? You have to do format the memory card from the camera menu before it will work properly.

If you used a computer, same thing, you need to format the stick before you transfer photo's to it. Try it and let me know.

Had memory stick out when husband took a photo he wants...have no USB..is there a way to switch picture from camera to memory stick without USB?

I don't know much about Sony, but every other digital camera I have ever used will let you transfer a phot from the internal memory to an external memory device. Go get your owners manual and the memory stick. The instructions are probably under "file management" or something similar.

How to do I transfer pictures from my internal memory to my memory stick?

Without looking for a manual on your camera, normally there is function in your camera menu to copy or transfer over to your memory stick, or maybe you can transfer the picture firstly to your pc(if you have one), then back across to your stick, by simply drag n drop as normal.
