Indows Genuine Advantage Notifications for Windows XP notifies you if a copy of Windows XP is not genuine. The notification messages only appear on computers that have failed the WGA validation process and that are running a copy of Windows XP that is not genuine. If you are running a validated, genuine copy of Windows XP, you will not receive notification messages.

Code 0xC004E002 from upate on vista basic cannot access computer

Sounds like you got a dodgy copy of windows installed on your computer

only solution go out and buy a new copy of windows

however if the pc was bought from a pc retailer then you should go and see them first as its illegal to sell such software if they refuse to correct the problem make it quite clear you will be informing the local police

I have a message on the bottom right of my HP laptop that says: Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 This copy of Windows is not genuine Then it says I need to enter a product key, or buy one? I don't...

This happen actually because the copy of windows what you had installed is not genuine - You might have updated your computer in few days from the Microsoft website - this website will silently check for the product that you have installed is valid or not - and found as invalid - in this case you need to enter a right product key or else you can just ignore the message but this message will appear on every boot up .
If you are using this system for personnel use " ignore " is a option but if you are using this system for business purpose - please don`t ignore - you can easily find a key - you can find the key at the bottom of laptop - if don`t work you can contact hp for the key support

Windows vista (TM) Build 6000 this copy of windows is not genuine

Is this an error message? I'd say you should go see who installed the operating system on your machine. Otherwise you MUST go to microsoft and buy a new legitamate copy. All new microsoft products require registration. Running with bootleg software is not recommended

The os windows vista (TM),Build 6000.the copy is not genuine

Hi

If it's saying that then am afraid its correct.
Windows has a program that can check the authenticity of its OS. But downt worry it wont harm your system. You might have accidently installed Windows genuine check program(while updating).
The only solution to stop receiving this message is to roll backthe installation.
You can do this by restoring your PC to an earlier date.

If you know how to restore and what will be its consequences then its ok and go for it but if you dont then please revert back, so I can tell you the steps to follow.

PRODUCT KEY

If the laptop was bought as new, the message can be a bogus , coming from some kind of virus. It is rare that a seller distibute a laptop with non genuine software.

To know if you own a windows valid licence check if there is Windows licence sticker on the bottom side of the laptop.
If you have no sticker with Vista serial, like this one (they are for XP yours must be for Vista):

Then installed Windows is probably a pirate copy.

The fact that the problem has gone undetected for some times may be normal, as Microsoft controls genuinity only when you do certain updates.
