Setting Alarm I do not have a Manual for the Timex Reef Gear Watch and I am at a loss as to how to set the alarm.

If your Timex Expedition watch alarm and beep function are not working properly, even with a new battery, it could be caused by a few different things. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check the alarm settings: Make sure the alarm is turned on and set to the correct time. Also, check that the alarm is set to the correct mode, such as daily or weekly.

My watch has model number 504-tsk085, labeled Timex 1440 Sports, and Timex provides the incorrect manual for it online. I wrote these instructions after careful experiment:

Upper left button: press to switch to a stopwatch, or...

Press and hold to enter alarm setting mode. Once flashing press again to enter time/date setting mode.
-- you can only do one or the other without exiting the setting
mode (time or alarm set).
- within the setting mode you use the two right side buttons
in obvious ways to set times/dates
Exit setting mode by pressing upper left again

Lower left button: light
Upper right button (when not setting time): reveal date while pressed

Lower right button (when not setting time): reveal alarm time while pressed.

ALSO: WHILE lower right button is pressed you can change alarm
on/off and chime on/off through the four possible settings by
secondarily pressing the upper right button repeatedly.

1. Find your watch on the list below and click on the language link for your manual.

2. Find the 3-digit module number located on the caseback of most Timex products and click on the corresponding language link for that number in the Module Table at the bottom of the page.

1. press and hold the "set" button for two seconds.

2. Use the "advance" button to reach the correct hour.

3. Press the "mode" button, followed by the "advance" button to set the minutes on your Timex Ironman.

4. Repeat the procedure of pressing the "mode" and "advance" buttons to set the month, date, year and day of week.

5. When you are finished setting the time and date, press the "set" button to save.

Setting an Alarm

1. Begin by pressing the "mode" button until the alarm screen appears.

2. Press the "set" button and use the "advance" button to set the hour for your alarm.

3. Repeat the same procedure to set minutes and seconds for your alarm.

4. When you have finished setting the alarm, press the "set" button, followed by "advance" save and activate your alarm.

5. When you alarm sounds, you can deactivate it by pressing any button on the watch.

I have a Timex Reef Gear watch...can't find a model number anywhere. (The watch back has the 3 digit code 940, one they don't list on the Timex site).

My watch has two stems to adjust the time, day, date, etc. On mine, you turn the top stem until what you want to adjust appears in the digital window, then you pull out the stem one click to adjust.

I found another bracelet. Thank you.

The trick is to turn the ring to the "Date" setting, Pull the stem out once for the Month and Date. Pull the stem out (hard, but gently) a second time for the Day of the week. Each pull will be confirmed by a 'beep. Be persistent and good luck.
