Switching thermostat from farenheit to celsius

I have a Honeywell RTH7400D programmable thermostat installed and working fine, except that I cannot change the display settings from farenheit to celsius. The package stated that it was both farenheit and celsius capable but the manual does not tell you how to switch it. I live in Canada - everything is in celsius except my thermostat.

A solution would be greatly appreciated.

Dale.

Awesome, it works! Thank you so much! The manual that came with the thermostat did not include those instructions. After 3 years af making do, converting from farenheit to celsius, the thermostat now reads celcius like evry other thermometer and forecast!

My thermostat was set on celsius and couldn't get it to change back to fahrenheit. My son suggested pressing both up and down arrow buttons at the same time and it worked. It changed back to fahrenheit.

Need to wire a honeywell RTH7400D thermostat to 3 wire hot water

Just mark the old wires on the old thermnostat...R , W etc...and put them on the same terminals on the new 1.....also there should be some adjustment ire : switch on the back or under the cover to adjust for Hot water heating or electric heat...either is the setting you should have it on....also you shouldn't setback the thermostat at night or when away very much....2 degrees is fine , as the boiler will run along time to raise the temperature in the morning and may not get there by the set time

I want to change my TH6110D1013 honeywell thermostat to celsius . how do i do it?

You need to go into the setup mode to change it. Push and hold the i button along with the increase and decrease buttons. All the segments on the display will appear for about three seconds, then setup number will appear to the left and factory setting to the right. Change the setup number by pressing the (i) button until you get to 14. This is the degree temp. display, factory setting is 00. Use the arrow up key to change to 01 (celsius). To exit setup, push and hold the(i) key until the display returns to normal.

Can't change my thermostat from fahrenheit to celsius.

When you do your system setup, Function 320 controls your temp. format. Set Function 320 to 1(celsius); Then press DONE. This will solve your problem.( Function 320 is defaulted to 0-Farenheit).

I am unable to change my programmable therostat from celcius to farenheit. Can you help me? Thank you

There is usually a TINY switch on the main board. It could also involve holding a push botton in for a couple seconds. It all depends on the specifics of the thermostat.
