I just unpacked it from being in storage for six months. The screen will not light up and the light next to the power button is yellow. Ideas?
My yellow light wont go off...all of the green buttons are lit...and I did test it on another machine...any suggestions?

It actually ended up being the video card.....Dell is sending someone out to fix it today. Thanks

I use my desktop regularly, and I turned it on today and it worked. But while my PC was starting up i accidentally brushed my graphics card with a piece of metal from another part of my PC. That was when my monitor's colors got messed up and it had green at 100%. I turned off my PC to try and rectify the problem, but the monitor stayed on and now it won't turn off unless I unplug it. My PC works just fine, but my monitor won't acknowledge anything i do. It won't show anything when i start my PC or turn off. The light is stuck on yellow.
I moved to a new home and set up my Dell computer weeks later. The monitor comes on green for a short second before returning to a solid yellow. This is the monitor - Dell D1728D-LS VS17X Monitor. I can press the buttons to the left and get a response, i.e. "Digital input. Self Test Feature Check" comes up and when I hold the key down long enough I get a green light on the monitor. So far, nothing.
