The colorwheel may be bad. if it doesn't spin, the lamp won't strike. if the colorwheel is ok, replace the power supply/ballast. you can get one and do it yourself, or send it to a sharp service center. either way, try www.avsolutionsny.com. they're really good.

Unlock Sharp XR-10X-L Notevision Proj. says keylock function on

According to pg. 45 in the owner's manual, you turn Keylock function ON by holding down the ENTER key on the projector for about 5 seconds while the projector is being turned on.

To take the Keylock off-- Hold down the ENTER key on the projector for about 5 seconds. If the projector is in standby mode, you can release the keylock by holding down ENTER and STANDBY/ON keys simultaneously for about 5 seconds.

I have a Sharp XR-11xc and my bulb recently burned out. I ordered and replaced with a new lamp. It would turn on but no light would be projected. I read up on the subject and tried the reset of the lamp by...

I have the exact same problem. I've only reset the counter once though. It worked great at first, but seems to be getting worse. It's like it tries to start, just doesn't light up (maybe not warm enough???) then retries like 5 times until switching to the red light. Unplug and retry.... and eventually it does come on, and once on, all is ok. Is this just the projector trying to slowly 'break in' the new bulb since it has almost no hours?

Hi traks137

You will have to reset both the lamp and filter timer before it will change the status of this unit.
