My xbox messed up my games modenr warfare and 2k11 and it wont play them anymore what can i do about this?

Unfortunately once a disk is scratched there isn't really anything you can do about it. Most of the things that promise to fix scratched disks are fake and scratch them worse. I would suggest buying a used copy of the broken games, and avoid moving your xbox with disks on them. Also, if you have a friend with the same game, borrow the disk, install it to your harddrive, and try to run it with your scratched disk. Sometimes if it is installed to the harddrive it will run even if the disk is scratched.

How to repair scratched PS2 Games?

Although the PS3 is becoming popular, many of us decided to stay with the PS2. There are more games, cheaper products, and more buying opportunities. Hey, you can even download PS2 games on the Internet. My daughter scratched the flat screen tv with a nailfiler, what should i get to get rid of it.

You can try to polish it out but in my experience, it will only make it worse unless skilled at plastic polishing.
Try filling the scratch in with clear nail polish. Try a small area first to see if it has any adverse effect on the plastic.

The screen on my Sega Game Gear is severely scratched. How do I remove the scratches?

You can use a fine, cleaner type of automotive wax. DO NOT, use rubbing or polishing compoumt. Those are too coarse. The very fine polishin cleaner wax like KIT will remove most light scratches.

If you have really heavy ones, then there are other ways to remove those.I won't say here right now. Try the wax first.Polish in small circles until you see the gloss come up.

Remember, you just can't wipe on/ wipe off. You need to cut the shine by polishing it. Perhaps several minutes.
Some might not know it, but you can't really remove a scratch. That's right.Think about it. When you 'take out' a scratch, you are actually LOWERING the surrounding area around the scratch. Making the surrounding area the same level as the scratch, your scratch seems to disappear.

My xbox is scratching my discs and making them unreadable. Can i fix this?

One reason this is happening might be the positioning of your system. If it is vertical try changing it. Another thing you might try to prevent scratches might be a little thing I do to all my games. Take some tooth paste, a napkin, and alcohol or nail polish remover. Put the tooth paste on the napkin rub a layer on each of your games, then remove the layer with the alcohol or nail polish remover. I have found that the fluoride keeps the disc from being as damaged if they fall or scratched.

How to fix a scratch ps2 game

Go to the closest game shop. They probably have a kind of polishing tool that removes scratches from CD surfaces.

You can also buy such a machine. If you frequently scratch your CDs it will pay off.

MY GRAND THEFT AUTO 4 WONT PLAY IT KEEPS STOPING THE GAME AND TELLING ME 2 CLEAN THE GAME WITH ACLOTH THEN PLAY IT THERE IS KIND OF BIG SCRATCH ON IT BUT ITS NOT THAT BIG SHOULD I JUST BUY ANEW ONE

Hi,
you could buy a new game, but it,s worth trying this disk repair solution first. i,ve been repairing game-music cds/dvds for a couple of years, with 80% sucessful results.
1:) Find an empty jewel Case ( plastic cd holder case ) put the game-disk into the case upside down. ** Underside Facing Up**
2:) Take a soft-cloth ** Yellow Duster Type** and apply a small amount Of T-Cut Or Toothpaste. to the cloth.
3:) holding the disk with one hand, to stop it moving. use your other hand to work the cutting paste into the disk, around the scratched area. using light to medium pressure.
4:) once you,ve polished the area around the scratch, using a clean piece of soft cloth, buff to a polish.
5:) once the scratch has been removed, polish with a light solution of furniture polish, to fill in any surface inperfections.

If your in the UK, i can repair the disk for you.

Scratched disk

hi, this is a common problem with all video games consoles that take cd and the same for music cds.
Most people throw them out when they get scratced and start jumping or in your case wont load the game.
The good news is you can buy a cd polishing kit which polishes the scratches out of the disk.

How it works is you place the cd into a like similar to a cd box but it has three sanding wheels then when you put the disk in you then turn a small handle and the three polishing pads spin round and polish the scratches out of the cd getting the disk to work again.

The problem is finding some where that sells them i know Maplin stock them and sells them but if you have trouble finding anywhere that sells them then the best thing to do is type in in your browser "cd scratch remover" then this will list a load of sites that sell this product.
Its not expensive to buy and its well worth getting one as you can use it loads of times so if in the future you have more problems with scratches then its worth getting one.

Hope this is the help you was looking for i know they work as i use one myself for my ps2 and music cds that get scratched.

Let me know how you get on or if you have any questions.

On any cd the bottom part that the laser reads doesnt have the information and the data on it it is burned into the top part so as you look at a cd and where the writing is on top of the cd if this is scratched and you can see through the disk then it cant be repaired but if its the bottom part that the laser reads from then removing the scratches will solve your problem.
The scratches cause the laser to miss that bit of data thats under the scratch so polishing these out will be the same as having a new cd.

Scratched game disk

I've heard from my gamer friend that EB Games can do this for free, but don't quote me on that. You can also purchase a device to remove scratches, but they're a bit on the pricey side. :/

Disk could not be read

It sounds like the disc is scratched beyond being able to read it.. in any way known.. You could try: a) Washing the disc with water and soap very gently, with a soft towel, from the inside of the disc to the outside, in straight motion - NOT ACROSS THE DISC. b) Trying one of those products like Disk Doctor to clean the disc c) Possibly need to buy a new copy..
