I am a chef and I used meat slicer it could save you a lot of trouble and energy and also is very helpful to have in your kitchen, that helps us slice through meat and cheese easily. But, need to proper maintenance for this device. Normally I used mineral oil for cleaning the blade it is the best oil I ever used. Just wipe the blade down with mineral oil.
