Mitsubishi WS-65315 plug in HD comp shows as 480i

Greetings,

In the input assignment menu make sure that the DTV (the only 1080 input on this tv) is set to Y/Pb/Pr and see if that fixes your issue with at least the HD-DVR.

BTW- the HDMI information "1080i HD can only be selected if TV has HDMI inputs". is not correct.

Light flashing and tv won't turn on

Hi there, I have a Mitsubishi HDTV 1080 and when I tried to turn it on the tv this morning it wouldn't turn on and the power light is flashing green. I pushed in the reset button but it just keeps flashing and still won't turn on.

My xbox360 Wont work on my WS-55513 MITSUBISHI COMPONENT

Try changing the settings on the Xbox under display to 1080i. If it is 1080 p, or 720p, the image will look funny so make sure it is at 1080i.

RGB picture guns ( CRT's ) are ok. Your set needs a common
convergence circuit overhaul requiring replacement of two IC's,
part # STK392-570. Usual cost about 400.00.........T.

Looks like you are going to be working with the following:

1080i (HDTV) • 480p (EDTV) • 480i (SDTV)

Hook up depends on what else you have connected to the TV.  If you have nothing connected to the DTV component inputs, I suggest using those, as it will allow up to 1080i.  Otherwise, use the 2 other component connections directly to the left of the DTV connections.

WILL NOT TURN ON

Did you say you got it from an X friend? LOL Sorry, its not funny, It obviously didn't like being moved. Sounds like solder problem in the power supply somewhere, hunt round locally for a good shop. (probably a few hundred dollars to get fixed.)
