First you need to check that the printer has the same problem with a new cartridge, otherwise may be a cartridge problem. After this try doing a nozzle cleanup. You will find the option on printer properties in control panel, or opening canon software from start menu. If after this you still have the problem then you should open the printer and clean the waste ink well and printer head.

My Canon Pixma ip6000d isn't printing any images or text. There is plenty of black ink, I ran the tests for alignment and nozzle check. The paper feeds through fine and it sounds and acts as tho

Did you try a test print. Most printers have a option to set the ink color, this is done when your computer asks you if you want to print. Look for an options tab and search for ink color options pick black only and try a test print. The test print is done on printer set up. If all else fails try the manual it usually has a troubleshoot section. Oh yes make sure you have the correct usb port some are configured at a lower level ( mine has 2 different ones a 2.0 and a 3.0 the 3.0 is blue when you look inside of it) my 2.0 port wouldn't set up my printer I had to use the 3.0 port. Hope it helps you some!

Just recently everything printed is some variation of a shade of green. Have tried to adjust color settings on the control panel of computer

Good day!clean the printer and the cartridge if it can change the color..if still not..replace with a good cartridge..if still..your printer head cannot mix anymore colors.

WHY IS IT NOT PRINTING PICTURES IN WITH THE COLOR AND QUALITY IT SHOULD?

Have you verified that the print quality options are set the way you want them inside of the print driver and from inside of the application you are using?

That's the best I can do without more descriptive information of the failure and the make and model of the printer.

Printing wrong colors

you might be running out of the red ink.

Whenever a printer prints the whole image but with different colors it means that the printer uses the available color with enough amount.

Try replacing it with new ink cartridge.

Pictures to dark

Issue: Tinted printing / Colors are not exact
Solution: Disable Monochrome Effects in the printer driver (Windows)

Disable Monochrome Effects When Monochrome Effects is enabled from the Effects section of the printer's Properties/Preferences, the printed image will have a definite color hue. Follow the steps below to disable Monochrome Effects.
  1. On the Windows desktop, click 'Start', point to 'Settings', then click 'Printers' (Windows XP: On the Start menu, click 'Printers and Faxes').

  2. Windows 2000/XP: Right-click the printer icon, then click 'Printing Preferences'. Windows 98/Me: Right-click the printer icon, then click 'Properties'.

  3. On the Effects tab, click on the 'Monochrome Effects' check-box to remove the check-mark.
