Cloning
These radios support cloning parameters between a master and slave radio.
Cloning only transfers the user's settings from the master radio to the slave. Things like tuning values, serial number, etc. are not changed.
To clone a master radio to a slave (target), perform the following:

    • Make sure both radios are off
    • Connect the cloning cable between the two radios through the programming port
    • Turn on the slave radio
    • Press and hold the "A" button on the master radio and turn it on
    • The master radio will display CLONE if cloning can proceed, otherwise an error will be displayed
    • The slave radio will display PROG while it is being programmed
    • When cloning is complete, the master radio will display END and the slave radio will reset automatically
    • Disconnect the radios from the cloning cable

My Cp200 can't connect to my new Motorola Talkabout T5720 (7 Channels) 2-Way Radio, need HELP

The CP200 is a dealer programmable radio which was available in UHF or VHF. You would need the UHF model to match. Then the radio itself would need programmed to the same frequencies as the T5720. This requires Motorola proprietary software, cable and radio interface box (RIB). Your best option would be stopping by your nearest dealer to have it programmed.

I brought a Motorola VHF HT1250 radio off of eBay & I programmed it & tested it out & everything worked great for a few hours & then it beeped once & shut off & now will not come back on.

Returning the radio would be your best option. There are many factors which can cause a radio to go dead. Assuming you have checked your battery and battery contacts, and tried a known good battery, if your radio will not power up, there isn't much which can be done.

Best regards.

I need to my ic2200H to talk to my gp2000

take the motorola radio to a motorola dealer and 1) make sure it's a VHF version, and 2) have the dealer enable FPP (Front panel programming). Also be sure to have the dealer explain what each of the ABCD buttons do for programming (can be configured via programming software)

Need to program

Hi,

You have a Motorola CP110 VHF portable radio. (the Make/Model)

then you say.... need to program..... your car, your radio, your remote, your partner????

If by chance you need to program the radio and you are looking to find the software to do so, then that's the info we need to help you.

If this is the case, and I'm only guessing, Join yahoo group specific to your radio Make/Model, the team there will give great advice & info, plus you can download manuals, diagrams and software(if available), all of this is free.

I hope this answers your query, if not, please supply more info.

Best regards,
Peter

2 way radios

Your radio with model number M33GMC09C2AA is a GM300 made for Central Asia, Eastern Europe and Turkey. It is VHF 25 watt with 12.5 channel spacing. It will do frequencies between 146-174 MHz. It should be able to be "read out" by a Motorola dealer. If it has been in a boat, it most likely is programmed with Marine frequencies. If you have another marine radio you may be able to determine the frequency by process of elimination.

The wiring kit for power is readily available for around $18 ea. If your boat has a marine VHF antenna onboard, you will be able to attach the antenna to this radio. It takes a mini-PL connector.

How can I program my MTS 2000

Most Motorola shops, including ours, will program the radios using Motorola proprietory RSS for a small fee. (Ours start at $25 with $5 for each additional unit cloned via the RSS.)

Cloning via the RSS is only possible if the units are all the same exact model number.

What's the channel frequencies for a common 22 channel motorola 2 way vhf radio?

Not sure what you want.....VHF band ius approximatly 130mhz to 175 mhz..... in that VHF band there is a commercial VHF band aprox. 155 mhz to 175...... the amateur radio vhf band is aprox. 135 to 150mhz.

With amateur radio, any freq in that range can be used...... with commercial radio the FCC cangive a company any freq. in that range also.

If you are looking for FRS/GMRS frequencies they are UHF freqs not VHF.

So I'm not sure exactly what you want......sounds like you might want to program in FRS freqs into an Icom amateur radio. If thats  the case you will need an Icom that will do UHF freqs.
