Can not download from iTunes library to Discovery Kids MP3 boombox.

AIFF-C is the format and is not compatible with mp3, mp4 players. It is an apple format for music.

Tell the person who gave you the gift, It might be embarrassing but if you want a new one and actually get something from the money spent, tell them that it doesn't work and you would like to exchange it at the store. If you really don't want to ask the person or the person is not available, go to the store you think is the most likely place they got it from, with the Boombox and tell them you got it as a gift and want to return it, some stores will allow an exchange something even without the receipt.(If it wasn't bought at that store, try again at another store) Lastly, you can contact Discovery Kids Costumer Support if you still need help.

You should have a usb port that will allow you to hook it up to your computer where you can then trasfer the cd from your computer onto the boom box. Use windows media player, quicktime or a comparable music player to transfer also which sould convert it to an mp3 type file.

Same problem here. We had it for 1 week, replaced batteries 2x, held down green button for 10+ seconds and it is dead. Any help would be great!

I had the same problem -- I discovered that when the switch on the back is in the "hold" position, the disc is write protected. But when I turn it to the "off" position (to the right), I am able to delete the files. You might need to disconnect the device from the computer, then turn it "off," then reconnect.

Load music into your iTunes library by either purchasing tracks or CDs online from the iTunes store, which is accessible through the iTunes interface, or insert CDs into your CD-ROM drive and rip them into your iTunes library by clicking "Import Music" within your iTunes interface.

Uncheck any songs that you do not wish to be transferred from your iTunes library to your iPod, for the iTunes library will automatically begin downloading all songs (which are checked by default) to your iPod upon connection.

Connect your iPod to your computer via the USB port that came with the purchase of your iPod. Click on "iPod" located under the "Devices" category to begin the syncing process if your computer does not begin automatically downloading music to your iPod..

After much frustration, I've figured it out something that works.
Turn the mp3 player off, remove the battery cover, take out the batteries, put them back in, screw the battery cover back on, turn the mp3 player on, press the green play button. You should then see the "welcome" screen.
The boombox has continued to lock up frequently - almost everytime my son plays with the stinkin' thing - but at least I know how to unlock it now.

Make sure the files are in MP3 or WMA file format. If they are in a different file format other than the ones above convert them because for audio those two are the file format that the sansa clip supports. Im not sure but iTunes convert songs to AAC or MP4 depending on the settings of it.

The best way to transfer songs tot he sansa clip is to change the mode of the player to MSC by going to Settings and then USB Mode. This would help detect the drive as a flash drive so you could copy and paste songs to it.
