Oven Stops Heating

I have a whirpool gold gas stove/oven. The oven will pre-heat fine and will stop heating and cooking. It seems like it just turns off. I've checked gas lines etc and all that is fine. Is it or could it ben be an oven temperature sensor? If so, is that something I can easily replace without having to call a technician? The unit is 4 years old.

Thanks

Oven temperature not working

An oven that is not heating up and that won't heat up is usually the result of an igniter being faulty for a gas ovens or heating elements for an electric ovens. If both your gas oven and your gas burners have stopped working then the problem is most defiantly with the gas line and will have to be fixed from someone that repairs ovens and stoves.

Oven has stopped heating, and automatic interior light has also stopped working. Fan still works though - any ideas?

Stove possibly has a fuse panel which is usually in the inside area of the switches and there is usually one for each burner as well as the oven. Make sure you replace with the right size fuse or you could have trouble.

Is it dangerest when your oven beeps f2

Typically an oven beeps when the interior temperature macthes the temperature where you set the dial. This is an audible signal to that fact and particularly helpful when you need to pre-heat the oven. For example it you want to cook something at 350 degrees, you set the dial at 350. When your oven reaches that temperature it beeps to let you know. Some cooking directions tell you to preheat your oven. In that case, when you set the dial to 350 and wait for the beep...you know you are safe to start your cooking process because the oven is now pre-heated to the temperature you set. If your recipe requires a pre-heated oven, and you don't wait for the beep, your taking a guess at what temperature you're cooking your food. Additionally, if you want to know what the internal temperature of oven is and your oven is heated...you simply turn you dial setting and listen for the beep. Again, if you set your oven at 350 and you want to know how hot your oven is... slowly turn the dial setting. If the oven beeps at 275 then that's how hot your oven has gotten. To let it finish heating to 350 just reset the dial and wait for the beep.

We have a GE gas oven/stove top and the stove top is lighting as well as the broiler but we can not get the oven to heat up. What do you suggest we try?

i just moved and our stove in the new place doesnt bake things right. it seems that the top coil doesnt come on. its very difficult to bake anything. seems to come up to temp for pre heating, but only the bottom coil comes on. If you put it on broil, then the top coil gets hot. that works fine. tired of burning pizzas and biscuits. can anyone help with a cheap fix? dont have alot of cash.

Gas oven not heating to temp

The fault is either the capillary has fallen away from back or it is a faulty thermostat.

WHY WON'T MY OVEN HEAT UP?

Most modern gas ovens and many broilers use a "glow-bar" style of igniter that glows red-hot to ignite the gas. If the igniter doesn't reach the proper temperature, the gas valve won't open. You may need to replace the igniter.
