I have a Sony KDF 55WF655 rear projection tv and it turns off for a few seconds, the green light blinks and then it turns back on and it just keeps doing it over and over.
TIGHTEN THE BULB --AFTER YOY CLEAN THE DUST OFF THE BULB VENTS ON THE BULB ITSELF. PROBLEM SOLVED. EASY--CHEAP. Hey it worked for me. My picture was turning off blinking 29 times for picture 37 times for audio. This was the first issue with my KDF-55WF655 since I unwrapped it almost 5 years ago......... ITS STILL ON!!! I hope this helps someone.
My Sony also flashed the green light and intermittently went out. The bulb was loose. Once I tightened it in with the allen wrench, it worked properly
Help I have the same problem
That is totally the bulb, There was a recall on that model number and I called Sony about it. They scheduled a technician who replaced the bulb and did some software upgrade. My TV works perfectly!
My TV Sony 55" rear projection does the same thing. Someone on line told me theirs did the same thing and they had to replace the bulb.
Try cleaning the air filter sounds like a thermal problem often cleaning the filter takes care of it.

This would be an error code indicating a problem. You didn't mention if anything else was going on with the TV as in no picture, or no sound. If the TV is operating just fine, there could be a bug in the software causing this. If there is a problem, the best thing would be to contact Sony and relay that error message and go from there.

Sony Grand WEGA Big Screen I bought this brand new 3 years ago and have one problem other than the current one where it turns on but says "no signal to be found" and starts blinking green stand by light and then the picture and sound will come on and off intermitently as well and it continues to do this. The cable guy came out today and changed out the cable box but it still does this. Is it the light bulb inside the casing or what? I don't think it's still under warranty.
We have the same television with EXACTLY the same problem. It started this morning. Have you found a soultion???
This Sony has been a nightmare. We had it one year and had to replace the lamp. One month ago we got the blue dots and blue haze at the bottom of the screen. And now this!
I have the exact same problem. Mine is a Sony 55in HDTV SXRD LCD projected TV. The Lamp will go off and then come back in a cyclical timeframe. However, after I leave it on for days, it eventually will stay on. So I simply haven't turned it off, except put it on a non-video input. I have reviewed the manual and troubleshooting manual which I purchased off the internet. I have not pulled the back off to take readings as the optical block has a 24 month warranty and it might possibly be that. But I would like to know if someone else got theirs fixed, what they had to do to it.
We have the same problem however is is intermitent. The TV will work for hours or a full day. The next day it will start going off and on as soon as it is turned on. If it was a temperature problem I would think that it would have to be on for a while. The green power light blinks the entire time the sound and picture are off. It goes to steady green when working properly. I have service coming in tomorrow however I am willing to bet it works fine when they are here and they do not fix the problem.
