This is one of those problems that could be a number of issues. It could be a timer contact stuck in a hot condition, it could be the operating thermostat inside the unit, or if you have a heat cycle selector switch, it may have shorted as well. Each one of these items should be tested with an ohm meter to verify which one of them is the bad part. Let me know if you need further help.

How does the air dry cycle work?

Are you asking about the fluff or no heat cycle?? It just blows room temp air through your clothes. It would be similar to hanging them outside but with the drum tumbling them. This will of course take much longer to dry than with heat.

I have a frigidaire gallery series front loading electric dryer model # 134509400c.press start and it beeps with a dr code.any idea what is causing this?

dr is door error
this generation of dryer has alot of control board failures(the relay for the heat burns the terminals for the wires you can inspect these relay connection visably by removing the front control panel you might want to try setting the machine to the fluff/air dry setting and try starting the dryer, if it starts in air fluff you need to check the connections on that relay this is not a factory taught test.its just something a customer pointed out one time and i have tried on many after the fact, and for whatever reason these machines will still run in fluff mode when the board is fried

Dryer doesn't heat properly. There is warm air, but it takes two cycles to dry clothes

If your dryer gets warm but your clothes are taking longer than usual to dry, then the cause is most likely the Lint filter that is clogged thus blocking the moist air to escape: remove all the 'fluff' that is stuck to the filter.
In all cases, make sure that the hot air is exhausted outside the room where your dryer reside.
Hope the information is useful: let me know how you go.

The dryer has no heat

Hi,
Make sure front of dryer is not blocked, air flow is needed to dry.Check the lint filter and exhaust duct is clean.

Select the heat setting other than Air Fluff.

Check the blown fuses and home’s circuit breaker tripped. Dryer use 2 household Fuses or a circuit breakers, If one is blown, the dryer may still operate but not heat. Alternatively, the dryer may heat, but it may not heat up as hot as it should. Replace the Fuses or reset the circuit breaker.

Good Luck and have a nice day.
Rating the solution is highly appreciated.

Dryer turns on but does not heat up

the first thing to check is the ignitor .how ever there is a thermal fuse located on the exhaust duct inside the dryer that may be bad this woulld cause the unit to run and not get hot.this needs to be checked with an ohm meter for continuity there is more than one thermal fuse so check them all just to be sure.i hope this has helped.please let me now how things turned out.good luck

MDG4000BWW gas neptune dryer The timed dry/air fluff doesn't work until it gets to damp dry or wrinkle release. Works on the other cycles. Have removed lint screen & 4" hose cleaned and vacuumed.

on a timed dry cycle u are selecting the time it will dry
only after the time has run out will it tumble with no heat
on other setting the machine is stopping the heat and putting the machine into a cool down or air fluff mode
sounds like it isworking normally

I have a whirlpool dryer model #len 2000pgo and my wash doesnt get dry but dryer gets warm ...not hot like it should. what could be wrong??? its electric

Your venting plays a huge part here.Do you want to be 100% sure about the vent ,ok,for just ONE load remove the vent hose from the dryer keep atleast 3 feet clear for the air to exit dryer. Now select TIMED dry cycle for 60 minutes.Start dryer and make sure your in a heat setting (not air fluff). The normal load should dry in 60 min,If it does than you now you have a block in the venting.
