Loud rattling noise when using my Epic 550.

We just purchased our machine and set it up. There is a loud noise (like a rattle) when we use it. It's coming from the area towards the front of the deck and happens with each step. There isn't anything that's obviously loose. Is something loose or is this the normal sound? It's very annoying. Thanks

It is most important that when assembling your system, all parts attached with screws, nuts, and bolts are fully tightened. That is true especially with the hand rails that are affixed to the Front of the platform to the rear. Recheck the motor mount and make certain it is solid. Every unit when assembled should be identical, however, if a part is not true (meaning it is bent, dented, etc.) it may not align 100% and make a noise when the device in in operation.

If you have extra used cartridge, try replacing the cartridge. If there's no noise, change your cartridge with a new one.

Any loud rattling sound is bad news. The drum should not be banging on anything!! Return or file a complaint with where you purchased it immediately. Do not wait, there will be a time-limit on returns and after that you are on your own.

Water leaking and loud noise and rattling on final spin cycle

Turn the drum by hand and if you hear any noises it is the rear bearing. If there is no noise then remove the front bottom panel and take out the coin trap on the pump and check those hoses.

Maytag Epic Z Washer has object between drum and tub.

I had the same rattling during spin cycle of my Maytag 4000 series front loading washer. Noticed you could gently pull back on the rubber gasket between the tub and where the door seals. There was a quarter resting against the fixed ring the tub spins in. Problem solved. And I have further realized that long hair can build up in this same spot. But if you didn't know to pull back on the gasket you wouldn't see it. Good luck!

My new Kenmore window unit 76081 makes loud rattle

If it does not make the noise when the fan is ruunin you may ahve abroken sping in the compressor. Make sure you Window unit is level. If not the compressor will knock on the inside. Rusty

Rattling noise during spin cycle

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.
