No picture or sound - TV makes chirping noise

When the TV is plugged in there is a distinct chirpin noise. The TV will not display a picture or sound. The TV is an RCA projection TV (model P60921YX1). No repair activities have been taken at this time. the sound is okay . . . picture is fadding in and out . . . then no picture

My exact same TV is acting similar except mine is actually throwing sparks from the rear left. I have unplugged the TV and removed the back panel. It appears that it is orginating from the back left. Ironic part is that it is 3 years to the day when I bought it. Any suggestions.

The chirping sound is the power supply coming up then breaking down because there is a short somwhere in the high voltage. The most common fail in this area is the horizontal output is shorted ( 237470 ) but what cause this short could be simple cold solder joints or the High voltage transformer ( 239111 ) If you have noway to "ring" the flyback change both parts

It doesn't start at all? It can be that your Ram is faulty and the chirping is coming from a little speaker on your board, I had the same.
Else it can be the cpu-fan, but in sync? I doubt this.
Check your Ram.

This tv problem are also part the tv Convergence board problems too.The tv convergence board are toally dead have no power voltages activity to the tv convergence board at all.That why u only have chirping sound only.If ur tv convergence board that have some power voltages activity left and have dying parts on the tv Convergence board only.Tv will have picture but have problems R,G,B colors lines mis alignments,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures only.The tv convergence board must be repair like replaced 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resitors too.Will fix the tv convergence board will fixed the DLP tvs with chirping noises too.The tvs shops will cost u like $300-$350 for parts and labors to fixed the tv convergence board.

Tv does not power on

u have a short on one of the secondary voltages from the power supply. commonly a bad diode.
the chirp is the supply attempting to start into a short.

No picture, no sound, just chirping noise coming from back

NO - - signal did nothing to the set... Sounds like a shorted HOT (horizontal output transistor) and the feedback your hearing (chirp) is on the horz. transformer as it tries repeatedly to startup... Don't allow it to do that for too long...
