I have a hp pavillion entertainment laptop and i try the power button and the computer turns on but after a couple of seconds it turns it self off and then trys to turn its self back on again it wont get any further than the windows loading screen

unplug the ac adapter from the laptop and remove the battery
press the power button for about 5-10 secs

while the battery is out, plug in the ac and turn on the computer if still doesnt turn on

use a known good adapter and plug it in if it still doesnt work then motherboard needs to be replaced

now u put out to another monitor by cable if u see screen in there ur lcd have problem, if black too it from ur motherboard , checking

Power drain would be a better solution in this case. 1.first shut down the comp 2.unplug the charger 3. remove the battery and after press and hold the power button for 60 seconds without any charger and the battery.After the 60 seconds replug the battery and the charger and turn the computer .
and if this doesn't help
then try to take out the ram or memory chip from the computer and place it back.

when you press the power button, does any light flash for 1 second?

remove the memory, hard disk, cd writer from the laptop. then try to switch on again. do it using the power adapter.

if it doesnt come on then its an internal problem. you will have to open the laptop case and remove all parts for test

it is problem your laptop ram is rough position or demage change it then your laptop is active

Try removing the battery and using only power cord to turn the laptop on. If that fails, try turning it on without power cord, just on battery.

If none of those work, then most probable cause of your problem is motherboard. Hopefuly you are either under manufacturer warranty or you have extended warranty with your vendor where you've purchased the laptop.

If your laptop turns on on power cord, but without battery, then battery is the problem. Also, if laptop turns on when it's only on battery but it doesn't when you plug ac cord in it, then the adapter is the problem.

if nothing(even hp logo ) is not coming on the display then please try this.
1.remove the battery and then press the power button for 30 sec.Again refix it and check.
2.If windows sound is there then this mught be the issue with display.

3.If there is no windows sound might be the issue with RAM so please get it checked.

try this put off the laptop and remove the battery and the power cable and then hold the power button from 30-60 seconds then put back the power cable(without battery) and switch it on it should work then shutdown and put battery pack in

wireless button (or slider one) is located in the front key pad .






or if not then find the wireless Logo around the Laptop then just turn it on.
