Added new toner when flashing light went on AP. Now when I press the start button the carriage doesn,t move. It worked fine before it won't copy now?

The toner auger is probably clogged up. You will have to disassemble the whole dev unit to clean it out.

What does ap mean

"AP" stands for Agitation in Process", it appears in the copy quantity display when toner is being replenished inside of the copier. Wait a few minutes..this happens after continuously copying for long periods, or copying dense things like photos. Sometimes it will occur after running the machine when it is out of toner. replace toner and turn on/off a few times to "agitate toner. Don't worry about the scan lamp being lit while this is happening, it will go out.

the AP means that the copier needs more than one cycle to add toner.
This usually happens when the copier is used for a whiile after the add toner message comes on

If it only has lines on copys then
Clean scanner glass (small slit of glass before copy glass)

If it happens on prints and copys then it will more likely be drum.
