The water keeps filling up and over the overflow tube. This toilet does not appear to have any ajustments to the float housing
(the float does not travel up and down)
I'm not sure of the model but it has to be about 6 or 7 years old,
1 piece elongated toilet with the cool non slamming toilet seat.

- normally water tanks are mains fed so the auto shut valve for the water tank could be faulty but more often than not, it will overflow the tank through natural wear of the washer. the auto shut valve is normally some kind of ball **** valve.
most certainly is
if the overflow is connected to a valve externally where there is a small lever that you can over ride the valve and let air/ water out replace that
they are non repairable as they are a safety valve and preset and will be in the vicinity or $90.00 aud to replace
if it is different call a plumber
Yes you have a leak on hot pipe or TP overflow tube. Put ear against pipe to listen for sound of running water. http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-electric-problems-with-water-heater.html#listen If TP valve goes into drain line, check if water is running down TP overflow tube. Check each faucet for leaks. If pipes are under slab, put ear against each faucet to determine which faucet is closest to broken pipe.
turning the water shutoffs off and one can cause debris/sand/grit to move around in the lines. Check the seal for grit, rub your finger along the inside where the seal is. Lift up the overflow tube and run finger along the bottom , better, get an old toothbrush , cut off most of the handle and "brush" the bottom of the seal, then turn the brush around and brush up on the part that closes down on the seal when you let the overflow tube go
I'm assuming this is a question about a toilet not a water heater as its listed , if so,, remove the lid to your toilet. look for the end of the arm of the flush bar first of all there will be a chain or plastic strip attached to the end of it,, that goes down to the flapper ball covering the inlet to the unit itself, you either have a lose chain,, ( when closed it should have about 1 inch of play in it. ) or your flapper is defective,, they are both easy fixes. the flapper has tabs that attach to the overflow vent tube,, ( this should also have a small inlet water sprayer going into it. ) remove the flapper , and slide it off,, you'll have to remove the small sprayer to do this on some models,, replace the flapper ,, and be sure that you adjust the chain to 1 inch of play, as far as the toilet not flushing everything down,, make sure when filled the water line is at what the fill line mark is ( located inside the tank to the rear. ( if you cant see that,, its about 1 inch from the top of the inlet tube that sticks up inside the tank. lemme see if i can find you a link with a picture ,,,, ok heres a quick video that you can look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ejvb5lx5UxE&feature=relmfu
hi have you tried bleeding the rads this should solve the problem somewhat ,you will need to ajust the overflow in the water tank also but make sure to bleed the rads goodluck
Does it have bll **** on it?That means a long brass rod with a ball on the end.If it does then gap it with both hands and with the hand next to the ball push down a little ways and keep doing this until the water stops running. If you have a fluidmaster brown or black the little wire on the side of you will see a little metal piece squeezed it and down and the should stop.
