I have a 2580 Epson Scanner and for some reason can't work with my Mac Pro, Can you please help me?

Is the paper size you scanned match to this size(8.5x11)?

The first thing to try: a new USB cable and a different port. (If you are using a hub, try directly connecting to the computer). What does the device manager say about the scanner? (In Windows, access from the Control Panel > Hardware. Exact directions depend on the OS version.)

Check the transport lock on the bottom of the scanner - do not put the scanner on its side when you check the lock.

Make sure the scanner was on and had already warmed up (stopped blinking) before you tried to start the scanner software (either by the buttons or from the scanner). You may want to reboot the computer (in case the computer thinks one program has locked access to the scanner).

After you click on download now, on the next page you can simply select the radio button: No thanks, I prefer not to receive this information. And click on accept to get your drivers.
You should be good to go for now with one of your scanners. I will be awaiting the complete information from you regarding “perfection300”

The only way you're going to know if it's the scanner or the driver for sure is to install it on say an XP machine and see what results you get. If it's still dark, it's the scanner, if not, it's the driver.

plz try by reloading the drivers then change the port and usb cable

i dont have the cd for install the scaner (epson-2580 photo) please help me. thank.

The only thing I can think of is to turn you to be scanned image up side down in the scanner bed.. IE Rotate 180' As another work arround simply open up Paint etc,and rotate the image 180' and save, ya should be all good.
