Moisture on components will eventually damage or corode connections i would place it in a very warm place near heating pipes airing cupboard etc and leave it for a couple of days then try again if youre lucky it will drive out moisture and tv will work.

How can i repair the speakers? how can i remove the panel in front?

  • Turn on the TV set, bring up the convergence menu and make sure the three colors--red, green and blue--converge and overlap at the cross in the center of the screen. This is needed to help converge the TV later. Turn off and unplug the TV.

  • 2

Remove the front screen by popping off the bezel and pulling the three combined screens out. Place wide cellophane tape around the frame to prevent the three screens from separating. Lay the screen someplace where it won't be bent or scratched.

  • 3

Remove the circuit board from the bottom of the CRT neck. It may be held in place by one screw or glued in place with silicon. Pull it out without twisting it.

Need to clean lenses and do manual focus/alignment of guns on a VS-5055. How do I get access to them and adjust? Thank you.

the lenses are accessable by removing lower back of unit, clean them with a damp paper towel-wipe them off with a dry one.put back back on unit.
screen/focas controls are in front of unit.remove speaker grill remove black cover using phillips screwdriver.you will see 2 sets of controls.one row is focas.one row is screen controls.red,green,blue.turn each focas control slowly to get the clearest picture for each color.screen controls are touchy(if you turn then too high unit will shut off)if the black and white picture was good i would not adjust screen controls.if it was bad turn blue and green screens down all the way.picture is now red turn green up until it turns yellow then turn blue up until it turns white

Philips brilliance 200w monitor no video

nice anecdote, fixing things from far is not easy, a t.v.-technician right in front of the actual screen could tell more- but they don't come for free, alas. hope that people's idea about problem solving lead up to you fixing a problem yourself - hey this here is for free - to sort wxperts, one needs feedback! thx alot
