I have tried everything to get my comcast remote programmed to the tv but it won't work .I've searched the codes for it but none will work for this tv. Can you tell me what code will work so I can stop using 2 different remotes. i have a 32" emerson hdtv and i have tried all of the codes but none of them work for my comcast remote, how can i git it to work with this remote?
I am a comcast worker.The codes on a universal remote will not work because the emerson tv is being used through rf.comcast and most of all universal remotes use infared.or vise versa I cant remember.either way you have to find a remote that can do both which from what i found out run around 400$$$ thanks emerson for the terrific tv.
That Emerson TV is made by Funai. Best solution is to get a univeral remote with code search capability for 10 bucks or so. Follow the instruction manual, and It will search all codes until it finds a code that works. May take 5-10 minutes.
Look on the label on the back of your Emerson TV. Read the small print and see if there is a possible different manufacturer that actually made the Emerson TV. Just because it says emerson doesn't mean emerson made it. Also if no luck there try the UL listing code and search that code to the UL listing website. That may help also.

Keep in mind that these codes are not guaranteed to work, they've worked on a few cable/satellite boxes for Direct TV and Cox.

Urg! Me too! The pamphlet that came with the cable box even listed one for Hello Kitty brand TVs (10451) but that still doesn't work. I checked on their website, and they don't list the "Hello Kitty" code anymore, so I'm guessing I'm just going to have to live with it.
