I have GA K8VM800M mother board. it got 6 chanel audio. i've never use those functions. but recently i plugged in my mic to mic jack & tried to record some voice. but theres no sound recording. I checked AC97 Audio configuration, but its ok & its using 2chanel system & mic port is working. so i tried running "test Hardware", under "sound & Audio properties" in Control panel. it shows that thers a input to mic with high volume. but i hvnt even plugged the mic to computer (in that dialog box, mic volume shows highest point). i was so annoyed & i even reinstalled Windows. but the problem exists. i cant imagine any possibly reason for this sudden problem. Also i can rember it worked perfectly few months ago ( because i used Skype to call, using same mic, and same method). Please help me with this "unidentified" problem...
Go to volume control option and select mic advace option and choose microphone boost option and try.
Go to sound manager , a program provided by realtek.on the Audio/IO select 6 channels, on the mixer option select the REaltek Audio output, below is the Record option configured it. then test for your self
