Date display

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

How can you remove the date stamp from the canon IXUS 8215?

Assuming this is actually a Canon IXUS 82 IS (not an 8215 which doesn't exist), I found on page 20 of its user manual that you have to do the following:
Slide the Mode switch to the top setting Press the Func. Set button Press the right or left arrow until you see the camera icon that stand for "Auto" (see manual) Use the up and down arrows to select the "L" Use the right or left arrow to select the last icon at the right that looks like a clock in front of a picture Press the DISP button Use the right or left arrow to de-select [Date/Time]
I suggest that you look at the user manual directly, since some of the above doesn't make a lot of sense without seeing the icons.

Turn off date and time on pictures

As long as you don't choose postcards format, it won't display date and time. You can find the setting in function set. If the pictures you have shotted, it can't be turned off by your Canon IXUD 80 IS camera but you can use Photoshop on your PC to do it.

How can I get the date to appear on my pictures for downloading ?Canon ixus 75

On my Ixus 70, I can only "embed" the date on pictures when "Postcard Mode" is selected. Press "Func/Set", go down to the bottom icon on the left (sets picture size) then go right to "Postcard" (looks like mountains, will say Postcard when selected) then press Func/set button again. Now press "Menu", scroll down to "Date stamp" and set it to "Date" and press "Menu" button again.

Once embedded, the date cannot be removed later.

How to set date stamp for canon ixus 860is

:
The date and time can be included on the pictures taken only with the camera in postcard mode. You must also activate the date stamp option in the menu.
To set the camera into postcard mode, press the [Func.] button on the camera, then use the [arrow down] key to go down to the last option in the menu, and there you can choose the [Postcard mode]. Press [Func.] again to exit the function menu.
dsc_include_date01_tcm13-520510.jpgTo set the date and time stamp, press the [Menu] button and then use the [arrow down] button to go to the [Date stamp] option in the menu. You can set this to "Date" or "Date & Time". Press the [Menu] button again to exit the menu.
dsc_include_date02_tcm13-520511.jpgBe aware that if you take pictures with this option enabled, the Date and Time cannot be removed from the pictures at a further time. It will permanently appear on the picture.
