Good evening, I have a little problem with my TV and I cannot work out whether it as a cable problem or a TV problem. The Optimum remote control is partially working. I can change the channels and use the DVR. What I cannot do anymore though is turn the TV on and off, turn the volume up and down and use the mute key. I called optimum yesterday and they told mw there was nothing they could do as it probably was a TV issue. The TV remote control is equally unresponsive. They only thing I can do is plug the TV in and out. Can you assist? Pierre Southport, CT

Good day pierre, hi, you have a tv problem, as i see it the main board that controls the picture, sound and backlight is the problem, this board needs to be replaced, to do that you need to call your dealer for service. servicing the tv by your self is way beyond your capability if you are not a tech person.

You are paying fios good bucks for service so let them earn it by getting your system to work with their gear as intended.

I didnt have enough information about your remote to make sure I got you the correct codes. It appears there are about 3 different remotes they use. The link below takes you to there site.
