Question about Sewing Machines
I have bought a new bobbin case and still I have a problem. The top thread catches and winds under the bobbin case . I am sure that it must be just an adjustment I need to do but can someone pleeease tell me how?
thanks in advance.
Are you certain you are using a singer bobbin to suit this machine ?
If you have gathered a collection of bobbins over the years and have just grabbed "any old one" it may have different depth and diameter.
If this is the old 9217 that has a self winding bobbin, it is even more important to get it right.
It is almost always necessary to match the bobbin to the machine to avoid problems.
Also ensure that the bobbin is sitting comfortably, not at any angle, and that the hook race surrounding it is clean and free of lint deposits.
