1992 Frigidaire built-in oven with F4 error

This oven came with the house we bought 4 years ago. I can't find the model number, the only thing I know is that it's a 1992 electric built-in oven with electronic control touch pads. The other day, after cooking at 450 during 40 minutes, he suddenly shut down and we got an error message Err: F4. We tried everything: cleaning the temperature probe, checking wires and fuses but nothing happens and the oven doesn't work anymore. Can someone help me with this trouble?

F4 is the code for a shorted oven probe try first replacing it

F4 comes up every time I try to reheat a dish. I have had this oven for seven years and this started about three weeks ago.

Whenever you recieve he dreaded f4 or even a f3 error code this is telling you that the ovens temperature probe is not working properly it may be shorted out and in need of replacement.
If you would postme a comment with the make and model number of this oven i can get you the part and a price on this ok

Kenmore are made by many different manufacturers of their appliances..

F2 error is most likely a oven sensor problem . your over sensor has to low or high Ohms or you Electromic oven control thinks it has to high of an Ohm reading. replace oven sensor and or control

F4 error code on Jenn-Air W30400BC expressions built in oven

Slone, F4 is the code for a shorted temperature sensor. This is the temp probe in the oven. There are 2-quarter inch screws holding it on. It should pull out through the insulation until the quick connect comes through. If you want to make sure, the sensor should ohm out at 1143 ohms at 100 degrees. I think you can be pretty sure that this is the problem. The part number I have is 704657. Catriver.
