My fe-340 was dropped in the sand, is there anyway

My Olympus fe-340 was dropped in the sand (not my fault), is there anyway to fix it? it still opens and closes and the screen comes on but it's bluryy due to having sand in it. I got it quoted and it would cost more then what the camera's actually worth. So i might aswell try and take it apart and try it fix it my self, is there anything i should know?

Lens won't open when turned on.

Sounds like a fault with the lens mechanism, would need to be serviced by Olympus but will most likely cost more than camera is worth

Focus problem olympus fe 34o

Not focusing at every distance - close to far ?? That seems like a lens problem to me and how the lens is focused, once its fully extended, varies between camera brands. .
Have you dropped this camera or knocked the lens when it has been open ?? Or have you dropped it at the beach and got sand or grit in the lens ??. If it is a lens problem it will have to go back to the service agent for repairs - ther is nothing you can adjust inside unless you are a camera technician

Olympus FE-340 dropped, won't power on any remedy?

You could try removing the battery for a 30 minutes, re-install, then try powering it back up. It sounds like something may have been damaged internally from the camera being dropped.

Same exact thing......My mom thinks it needs a new battery.

Hi!
It sounds like your camera lens focus is stuck - could be sand or something in the focus gears - that's the weak spot of these lens. If you can't open the lens and check your lens focus gears yourself, you should contact your local Olympus service center or other camera service center. You can contact me too at [email protected] and I can give you a good price.

Hope this helps!

Warrenty

Normally warranty does not cover malicious damages. If it isnt broken or cracked then maybe they will replace it for you since then cant prove careless handling or misuse. Depending on the damage done maybe it can be repaired.
