If the write protec switch is in the on position on the card or usb, turn it to off. If it still says its locked, its history!

Remove write protection on 8gb sdhc card

SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

My usb (kingstone skymedi 8gb) driver is reading as 0bytes capacity

Format it by going to the Explorer and right clicking then click "Format", press format on the prompt and wait for it to finish.

no need to worry friend first you need to active the usb port and then fix the pendrive to usb
follow bellow steps
---> ctrl+R
----> in this tyoe " cmd "
-----> in command prompt type usb drive name
examle : if drve is H then type like H:/ or F:/ etc
----> format H: or format F:
-----> if any question ask then u aswer yes press "Y"
----.> your problem is solve
in case failure then you can try this another operating system or another computer

i have usb kingston 4 GB data mini traveler, and my problem usb detect skymidi usb drive i dont know skymedi. i don't want if have format,because there are many data which is of important.

Dude I just fixed mine running the SKYMEDI tool version SK6211BA_20080917 on my 8GB kingston datatraveler 100 is hard to get it but you will find it, you need to determine what version of the sw applies to your flash drive, check the SKYMEDI website www.skymedi.com.tw
