Sc 220. For the earlier model..it refers to the polygon motor error. U cannot clean the motor. U have to replace it. Becauce the sensor did not detect suficient optimal RPM

SC 320 - Polygon motor error.
The polygon motor does not reach its operating speed within 10 sec. after the polygon motor on signal,or the lock signal is not detected for more than 40 ms continuosly during operation.
Possible causes polygon motor defective,poor conection of the interface harness which connects the polygon motor driver and the IOCSS board, IOCSS bboard defective.
The SC can be reset by turning the main switch OFF and ON if the SC was caused by a sensor error.
To reset SC press yellow key 1 - 0 - 7 and STOP ( red ) key for 3 seconds,enter in the SP mode, enter SP 5-810 ( SC code reset) and select "1".Then hold down the Photo mode key and the # key at the same time for at least 3 seconds(this does not require the main switch to be turned off and on).

This SC-320 code error occurs when polygon mirror motor fails or poor connection between BICU & polygon mirror motor please check first the connector of motor if you feel that the connector is good change the polygon mirroe motor it sits inside the LD unit please call the expert to change the part

The polygon motor does not reach its operating speed within 10 seconds after the polygon motor on signal, or the lock signal is not detected for more than 200 ms continuously during operation.
Possible Cause
• Polygon mirror motor defective
• Poor connection between the polygon mirror motor driver and the SBCU board
• SBCU board defective

sc code 320 laser unit faulty polygon motor try lubricate bushing if still codeing out replace polygon

sc 320 is the laser error. the polygon mirror motor is faulty in laser unit and it can only be solved by replacing the polygon mirror motor. there is no other solution.

Polygonal mirror motor error.The polygon mirror motor does not reach the operating speed within 10 sec or the polygon motor remains out of the operating speed.Possible cause:defective polygon mirror motor,loose connection between the polygonal mirror motor and the BICU,defective cable between the BICU and the polygonal mirror motor or defective BICU.Turning the main power switch OFF and ON resets the SC codes if the error is caused by incorrect sensor detection.

SC-320 Polygon mirror motor error:
Symptom: Did not detect lock signal from
polygon mirror motor within 10
seconds after motor ON signal;
or, lost lock signal for
continuous 1.5 seconds after
signal was detected.
Cause:
1.Polygon mirror motor (or harness)
defective
2.FCU defective

P.S. Remove LSU. Turn out poligon mirror.
Clean & lubricate.

Polygon mirror motor error/lock. Unplug the copier. Wait 20 seconds. Plug it back in. See if that makes it go away.

Otherwise you should get a hold of a service technician but getting parts for a 250 is very tough. It could be the polygon motor, the power supply, a cable, or a board. It will take some time to troubleshoot.
