How do I fix a dripping MOEN T4572 lavatory faucet

Question edited for correct spelling of maker 'Noen' to 'Moen'.

'Fix' as in it is leaking? Or tighten it down because it is wobbly, or something completely different?

1.) its not all one piece

2.) the tower threads onto the valve body, you may need to loosen the mounting nut under the sink top with a basin wrench to relieve the pressure on the handle tower

It usually takes a special tool to remove a Moen cartridge. Just getting the handle off can be tough. How long have you had this unit? maybe it would be cheaper just to replace the whole thing. My last Moen lasted a good twenty years, still working good, but finally starting to corrode. Good product.

Turn the base of the Kohler handle counterclockwise until it is removed from the valve's escutcheon mounting nut.

There is a cap on the top of the handle which can be removed by popping it out with a knife or a small flat tip screw driver. Inside you will see a screw which holds the handle to the faucet. Tighten this and replace handle cap.

Take handle off and check out the inside to make sure it not striped out and on the top of the handle it may have a plastic cap to pop of to access the screw holding in in place you amy have to use a knive to get it off .

If you can't see a set screw it may have a screw in handle on top.

On the handle it self you should see a red and blue button plug. Remove this and you will see set screw. Remove handle, remember to shut off hot and cold water supplies under sink before you go any further.

Lowes might carry them but i know a plumbing supply house does for sure. Take center caps off hot and cold handls, then screws everything else should pull right off.

There is a small U clip that holds the cartridge in. It just slides up or down. Some Moen cartridges are very difficult to remove, they can be corroded inside "almost fused" it is best that you get a moen cartridge puller. Lowe's has them. If you decide to tackle this job make sure the water is off, and when you pull the cartrige remember the direction it came out. If you put it in backwards your cold will be hot, and your hot will be cold!
