The Toughbook CF-73 uses DDR2 memory. Adding 1GB would put you at 1.5 GB.

Where is the memory slots for the Panasonic CF-T8. I know about the one on the back where it the other slot?

    According to Panasonic's Toughbook CFT8
owners manual there is only one slot where
you can add extra RAM. The other memory
    is "non-removable" and probably soldered
    directly to the motherboard.

I double checked on the Kingston RAM Website:
    Bank Schema: 1GB Standard:
    [1GB] (Non-Removable)
    or

    3GB Standard:
    [1GB] (Non-Removable)
    or

    2GB Standard:
    [2GB] (Non-Removable)
    or

    3GB Standard:
    [2GB] (Non-Removable)
Sorry to disappoint you but that is how they
    made the CFT8 Toughbook.

If it is any consolation, the CFC1 and CFC2 both have
two (2) slots on the underside of the unit. Not the CFT8.

    Good Luck,

    Memory upgrade 2gb 4gb

The CF29 comes in two basic flavors:
#1: With 256MB RAM and DDR Ram with One open slot.
So add a 1GB DDR RAM (PC-2700) DDR 333 and
the maximum RAM is now 1.2GB

#2: With 512MB RAM and DDR2 Ram with One open slot.
    So add a 1GB DDR2 RAM (PC2-5300) and the
    maximum RAM is now 1.5GB.

This is my experience and very frustrating to find out the
hard way that the CF29 does not support a 2GB DDR2
    RAM Module.

    Good Luck.

The panasonicCF-73 tough book I am using has 256 RAM, can I increase this to 1gb or 2gb? Thank you,

    According to: http://www.upgradecomputermemory.com/ram.cfm/memory/P/Panasonic/Toughbook-Series/Toughbook-73-CF-73

your CF-73 has "integrated" 256MB of memory, and supports a maximum addition of 1GB of RAM.
The web-site says about $33, which _definitely_ is a good investment to speed-up your computer.

My panasonic toughbook cf 28 memory issue

i'm not sure what your configuration was in the computer before you tried installing the extra memory, but here's some common problems i see.

-it might exceed the maximum amount of memory that can be recognized in each slot or total for the computer

-it might have be installed in matching pairs (if it is a 2 memory slot machine which most are).

-it might not take that exact speed/rating

    hope that helps
