Flashing power light on JVC 48W TV

I just got a JVC AV-48WP74 TV with a problem. When you turn it on the blue light stays on for about a minute with no picture and only a clicking sound coming from speakers. The blue light then begins to flash on and off and the clicking continues. No picture is ever seen.
I want to have it repaired but I want to make sure it is not something I am doing before I drag it off to the repair shop and spend a bunch of money for nothing

Tri to remove the concergence pcb assy and start the Tv.If the TV is working just replace the convergance IC.

Power light blinks , no picture or sound , just the speakers pulsating.making a heartbeat sound.

Sounds like the TV needs some type of serivice. But just to cover your bases try unplunging it from the power from the wall and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Then plug it back in to the power and try to turn it on using the power button on TV rather then the remote. See if that works. If it doesnt call JVC.
