tower? what is tower?
you bought a used PC, ?
or is it really like this on the tag
i5680-7813BLU????
5000 series, for sure, but see those other letter there?
5000 is like saying FORD, many fords made with that 5000 partial name.
5000 laptops year 2000.
5000 laptops new, with size prefix, 15-5000 up
old 5000 series desktops and new ones. all with unique full model numbers not stated.
or 5000 dimension, or Inspiron Desktops
the former is 13 year s old.
In my town i and go to the store, buy a old DELL , new DELL or a REFURB dell. all the same day, and land an up to 15 year old PC.
----------------------------------wild guess----------------------------------
this.
DESKTOPS DEAD 101.
Pull the power cord off wall jack
push power button for 15 seconds.
release.
power cord back in , power on button,
does it boot to windows? if windows, login screen.
The book for the PC shows how to exit sleep (standby)
and exit hibernated modes, did you read the manual first?

if you want better answers, post the service tag data
this data tells any tech, whats in the box. (when new day1)
PC COME ON VASTLY different loaded options new,
all do.... and we cant guess any of that. eva.
my best guess is this.
this PC? a full sized desktop, from year. 2015-18 new.?
standby plugged in, it is, but not turned on,
sleep mode
hibernate mode
hybrid mode.
this PC has 4 states and 0ff the 5th if unplugged from the wall AC.
the orange LED? is actually called amber,(no arg)
it has 2 states, that color. sold and blinking page 130
sold amber is boot fail. 5v standby power ok, but will not turn on.
blinking amber means (complex answer RTM)
"Boot Failure: The computer is receiving electrical power, and power supplied by
the power supply is normal.
A device might be malfunctioning or incorrectly
installed.
Refer to the table below for Amber Blinking Pattern diagnostics
suggestion and possible failure."
we call those blink codes.
if this is not you PC , consider the above as a show and tell
guessed the real model.number
and went to dell.com , opened the manual and read page 130.
you can do the same at any time.
best is download the manual for you PC and keep it.
so its not lost.(years later)
