I have tried to reset my connection. wireless connection does not work. wireless connection page says "no wireless networks were found in range".

Not sure if this is relevant however when I go into internet options and look at connections it says "broadband connection default".

Perhaps the router is not broadcasting its SSID, therefore is invisible to would be tappers. Type 192.168.0.1 into a browser on a computer directly wired to the router, leave the username blank, if you havent changed it, the password is admin by default. Once logged in check that wireless is enabled and that you are broadcasting the ssid, you may want to setup/change security settings for the wireless connection at this time also.

Ip address

By default the IP address should be 192.168.0.1.

If it will not accept it
>Make sure your computer is wired or connected to your DI-524
XP version
>Try going start>run > type in CMD
>on the black screen type in ipconfig and hit enter.
>Look for the Default Gateway that would be the IP address that your DI-524 is using.

Windows Vista
>Click Start>All Programs > Accessories > click on command prompt
>type in ipconfig
>Look for IPV4 for the Default Gateway and that would be the IP address of your router.

If not allowing to access the login page, try pressing the reset button for 15 seconds at the back of your DI-524 but pressing the reset button will reset the setting of your wireles setting. Once your press the reset button type in 192.168.0.1 on the address bar and you should be having the login page. use Admin/admin for the username and leave the password blank and click ok...

My D-link DI-524 Wireless router not working.

g´day m8,
Your D-Link AirPlus G DI-524 Wireless Router needs a hard reset.

Log in to your router, go to -> administration -> factory default -> Restore Factory Defaults: =  "yes"
Then save settings.

You have now reset the router.

First thing you do is set your wireless setup in your computer to the same, i.e. no security.
Test if there is connection, if, the start with the setup from the top, beginning with admin password.

Configuring D-Link DI-524 router with airtel beetel 110bx1

Make sure you can go online directly to the airtel broadband. If internet works fine, connect the D-Link router to the Beetle. That should be going to the Internet port or WAN port of the D-link. Then your PC to port 1. Try to power cycle both devices now. Unplug the power to the router first then to the modem. Wait for 30 seconds. Power on modem first, wait for the lights to go solid, then power on the router. Check if the internet works fine hardwired. If it is, wireless should work as well. Just connect to the signal coming from the D-link.

DI-524 Wireless

Yes you can, it's easy.

1. Just connect one of the LAN ports of the DI-524 to a LAN port of your other router. Leave the DI-524 WAN port empty.
2. Disable the DHCP server on your DI-524, your other router will be the DHCP server.
3. Assign a static IP address to you DI-524, different from your other router's. Example, if your other router has 192.168.2.1, you may assign 192.168.2.4. Make sure that the IP address you assign is outside the DHCP range configured in your other router and that the subnet mask is identical on both.

Connect to wireless D-Link and Westell6100

I am assuming that you have a functional LAN cable connecting the Westell and the DI 524, right? If you are unsure, replace it with a cable you know is good.

If the 524 is turned on downstream of the Westell modem, it should find what it wants. You may try rebooting the Westell and seeing if the 524 finds it, and you maybe should reboot the 524.

Sometimes, when the world gets jiggered up I have to work pretty hard to get my DI-524 resync'd to my DSL modem.
