Most watch shops will replace batteries but you might need a Fossil dealer to replace yours, as it might need a special tool.

Try your local dealer first.

If you do need a Fossil dealer, go to "fossil.com"; at the bottom of the screen is a menu which includes "store locator". This will tell you where your nearest store is.

My Abacus Fossil AU4005 110504 wont charge any more, wen i put it on the charger nothing happen,it does not light up any more,do i need a new battery and where do i get it?

I had the same problem but easy fix.
first make sure you put the watch on charger for a few hours first-- the problem is not the battery not taking charge it is the watch that is not turning on probably.
After a few hours on the charger, remove the four screws on the back cover-- WARNING- remove cover carefully. there are two thin copper wires attached to the cover to the charing coil. set the cover aside. remove battery back (unplug tiny connector). WAIT a10 minutes-- this is to discharge any remaining charge that may be held by capacitor in the watch. plug the battery back in. Voila! working now. This is my way of resetting the watch to factory setting. Isn't it almost always work when you remove power to electronic device to reset it?

I lost the Wrist Net power supply but I do have the charger base. What voltage is the power supply?

Wow, I haven't used my SPOT watch in years--but I found it!

The charging base for my Abacus AU4000 uses an adapter rated at 12 volts, .11 amps, center positive. I believe that all the charging cradles for the Abacus Wrist Net series watches were the same--the different model numbers referred to different case and band options.

Good luck, and don't hesitate to follow up if you have any additional questions.

I haven't used for a couple of years and battery apears to be dead. How can I replace?

To maintain the warranty and ensure that you do not have any problems with the seals. It is recommended to send your watch in to an Authoriozed Polar Service Center. Doing anything else will void the warranty.

it is possible to change the battery yourself or have a watch repair place do it, but you or they will not have the vaccuum sealer to repressurize the seal, and any moisture that gets in there will do damage to the CPU. A little extra tip, when you send in your watch to polar there is a 3 month warranty on that service if anything goes wrong, and it happens quite frequently outside of the system, seen it many times.

Dead battery, how do I open?

I believe a local watch repairer will replace the battery for around 5$ that should include the battery, depends on the person.

Generally the battery is replaced by opening the back cover of the watch, in some cases special tools might be required.

the details of the battery read on top the one currently inside it.

I purchased a abacus wrist net on line with msn direct , and my battery isn't charging with my charger.

Your issue may not be that the watch is not recharging, it may just need to be reset. This will work on most, but not all of the abacus watches. You need to press all but the top left button at the same time. Do this 20x if successful, your watch will magically power up. I have this issue from time to time, usually right after a static shock. Hope this helps!
