Optoma EP719 projector broken circular glass disk

I have an Optoma EP719 projector with a broken part and I am trying to determine what that part is and if I can order a replacement. I will try to describe where it is located. The peice sits behind the circular hole with the metal frame and square peice of glass. If you remove this piece you can see a round piece of glass that spins. This piece is cracked. What is this piece and can I get a replacement?

The piece that's cracked is called a color wheel. I spoke with the parts department at optoma and they want $300 for a new color wheel for my ep 732h projector. I'm not sure if it's the same part but you can contact optoma on their website and they'll get back to you with a price quote for that part.

I have an Optima Model EP719 Projector. Suddenly I am getting white vertical lines and can't find a solution for removing them.

I would try switching out the DVI cable first. It could be faulty. This would be the easiest and cheapest solution to check.

Optoma EP719 settings?Colorwheel? Bulb?? Cable?

take the lamp out and shake the projector gently and tilt it in all directions and listen for something loose near the front of the projector. if you hear something it could be the light tunnel has collasped or the colowheel has lost its segments.

Optoma EP719. I have a vertical flickering bar. I've tried adjusting the ''Frequency'' with no luck. It worked fine with my computer the last time I used it so I wouldn't think it is a graphic card issue.

I had the same problem and was having no luck but stumbled over this solution. Take the monitor cable going into the back of the projector unscrews the screws holding it in place and then pull out the cable just a fraction. Obviously not enough to pull it all the way out but just enough so it's not rammed all the way in. Flickering line disappears. Not super technical I know but it a solution.

Optoma ep719 will not power up

Try this:
There is a stuffed 10v 3300uf capacitor on the power board. You need to replace it.
Bellow you can check in the picture where the capacitor is located.

Notice that in this picture I have already took the bad capacitor out and replaced with two small cords to reach the bottom and test the new capacitor.
To reach this place is not fast, several layers of plastic and metal must be removed, but is not a hard task to take the capacitor out and replace it for another.
It works just great! Now it is back on track with awesome image.
