There seems to be enough water for the first fill but when that drains for the next cycle to begin there doesn't seem to be enough water. I hear the buzz of the motor but when I open the door the bottom is practically empty of water and half of the soap is left in the dispenser. If I put water in it sometimes it continues as it should and sometimes it seems to drain the water I put in and then it continues with the buzzing and not enough water.
Another thing that happens but not very often is at the end of the dry cycle the top of the two green lights (sanitation) is blinking.
I have a Kenmore 665-16379301. Someone has come out and looked at it and cleaned out a small part in the front of the machine with CLR and stated that it really didn't have much build-up in it and didn't think that was the problem. He told me it may need a new water pump? Our hot water does run slow throughout the house, though our plumber states there is nothing wrong with the pump(we have a deep well.) I kills me to pay for another "service call" and still have the washer not work! It's only 4-5 yrs old. Thanks

On another website, we found a reset code that works for our Kenmore, which I think is the same as yours. Hit Heated Dry, Normal Wash, Heated Dry, Normal Wash (one at a time, within six seconds).

status lights blinking is trying to tell you something in the dishwasher is bad,go to your owners manual to see the fault codes first, then you can try turning the breaker off 30 seconds an on to see if it resets its self,if that does not work i think you might have a bad mother board,thanks-mike

I had this problem and the drain hose had become disconnected. I had a flooded basement.

Hi,
The flashing light indicates that the control did not sense a 3 degree temperature rise with an 8 minute test. There are many reasons this could happen with a working heater. I put together a page that shows the reasons and you might be able to do about it and again how to reset the control so you can use it. Depending on how deep you want to dig into the issue or get a new one is up to you. I would weigh in how much you like the current machine overall against how much a new trouble free unit might be. The best one out there today in my book by far is the KitchenAid,

It appears your dispenser wax switch has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question
Hi
If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound.
If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Try cleaning the spray arm with a soft brush. The water temperature plays a major role in cleaning of dishes. The temp should be between 125 and 150 F for dishwasher to clean the dishes. Hope this helps...
