But first follow the procedure of Solution #1. Another way if you sound is working before and not yet formatted. You don't need to download a sound drivers.
Under the Device Manager >Sound> Type of Sound installed>, then right click and uninstall.
After you uninstalled, choose " Scan for Hardware Changes" ( The Blue TV images above) and it automatically installed you sound drivers

To determine if your sound device driver is properly installed, navigate to your my computer's properties by typing devmgmt.msc at the run command and then click ok. In the Sound, video and game controllers, look for any question mark symbol which is color yellow, if it has, meaning your sound device driver is not installed. But if it is an exclamation point, meaning your sound device driver is corrupted. Install the driver for your sound device using the link above.

You can try these steps :
1. Goto Start >> Control Panel >> Sounds >> Recording.
2. Open the 'Microphone Properties' from the list of devices.
3. Change the status of 'Device Usage' to "Use this device (Enable)".
4. Apply settings and close the window.
5. If still the Microphones are not working, try to reinstall the Audio / Sound drivers. Restart your system.
