Phone doesnt want to turn on, it is stuck on a rainbol screen

Please check your menu key and see if it is stuck. For your phone to boot into safe mode, the menu key needs to be held at power on, so if after turning it off and doing a factory reset you are still in safe mode, then your menu key stuck. I have heard of the g1 having issues with the menu key getting stuck and a replacement is needed. How old is your phone? Are you still under warranty with tmobile? Let me know if you have any other questions.

Please take out the battery and wait for sometime. Then fix the battery and switch on the cell phone

take the battery out, then put it back in. If that doesnt work then pull the battery out then plug it into the wall for a while then pull it out and turn it on, if htat diesnt work take it in to the shop.

You will have to do what is called flashing your phone.

do a soft reset, push the power button and the sleep button on top of the phone at the same time for about 10 seconds until the apple sign shows up

or course, powercycle....if that doesnt work, a master reset will be needed.....because it sounds like there might be somehitng stuck on the screen in the corner for make it scroll around, clean the screen with a qtip and rubbing alchohol.....if that doesnt work, try a software reset. with the phone off, you will have to press and hold the button withthe lines on them and press the power button.....release the powerbutton.....the phoen should turn on and go to a black screen with white writing....release the soft keys here and press the green call button...it will reset the phone, but in turn, you will loose your info that is not stored on the sim or media card...

this is hard to do, so if you can navigate through the phone go to start, setttings, system, clear storage. it does the same thing. good luck :)
