If you insert the card and it would read the card immediately - not allowing you to see the pictures on the internal, that means the image storage is set to AUTO, you have to set it back to internal so you can copy them to card and just put it back to AUTO to reactivate the card

please follow this path:
insert card> turn on cam to auto> press review> "reading memory card" > press menu> scroll down to image storage> press ok to select> select INTERNAL MEMORY> press ok

scroll down to COPY> Copy pictures to memory card> scroll down to all> press ok
message to expect: "copying"

when it goes to back the menu screen
scroll to IMAGE STORAGE again and select AUTO> ok> "reading memory card"

you're supposed to see the copy of pictures from your internal and pics from your card if there's any

you can visit www.kodak.com/go/manuals

Aya, I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS5 and have the same issue where the internal photos are not able to be moved to SD card. When I plug in SD card the photos on the card show NOT the internal saved ones that I need to transfer. Can you help as I do not have a cord and I cannot find an answer that actually works. The pictures are extremely important and cannot be lost so I have to be careful

What does back-up to sd card mean?

the camera has internal memory and also will have the option for external memory. If you have a sd memory card in the camera you can backup the internal memory to the sd card.
Then you can remove the sd card and put in a new sd card and you now have an sd card with your precious photo memory's copied from the camera internal memory. You may have a camera that allows two sd cards one for the photos and one to back up the photos. If you had your camera stolen or lost you would lose all the photos on the camera but with a backup sd card you still have the photo files. Also a p.c with a card reader device could read the files on the sd card and you could copy them into a cloud storage on the net or onto a network storage device or onto a usb portable drive with 2 terrabyte capacity .

Camera will not allow me to "copy" photos to transfer from internal memory to SD card?

You may be able to connect the camera to a computer and access the picture files that way. Also make sure the SD card isn't close to full.

Took some photos without memory card. The photos are in the camera's memory, how can I transfer those photos into a memory card?

There are some solutions, but the most easy one is:

1. Take the SD card out of the camera and connect it to the pc to transfer the images. After that, put the SD card back into the camera.

2. There is a menu option in the SP800uz to change the memory to Intern, Extern (SD) and Auto (default). Change it temporary to Intern, connect the camera to the PC and transfer the images. Set the setting back to Auto (or else) afterwards.

I need to transfer internal memory photos onto memory card

First need to take off the SD card; default settign make the SD card as main stored when this is inside the camera.

Take off the SD card and send the internal memory pics at pc folder (use USB connection); insure that the pics are in this pc folder, them delete the files in "internal memory".

Take on the SD card inside tha camera and send pics from pc folder at camera, confirm that the pics are there.
