I have the polk audio 10" powered sub woofer and it blew the fuse, I replaced the fuse and it blew again. I plugged it in while I had it apart and the back of the board started smoking, can the board be replaced? and where can I get one?

I should just replace the parts that were burning, it will cost a lot less.

Just hooked up psw10 10in to a onkyo receiver I tested it it worked but there’s no sound the standby light is red

Maybe "Polk Audio PSW10 10’’ "&there’s no sound the standby light is red. Connect onkyo av-amp sub pre-out to line in and enter Onkyo av-amp speaker setting then subwoofer level calibration finally set +10db.

What could be the issue with my sub woofer power?

Many of these SUB amps ended up with Capacitor failures in the Power supply section . Find someone who works on amps or TVs to have a look see.

My receiver has one pre-out will a psw10 work

yes but a sub woofer out is better. You may have to crank up the sub response. If it has a level on the sub with a crossover set the cross over to around 120hz. And set the bass on your receiver as you feel appropriet.

Whats the rateing on the polk 10 inch sub woofer

Hello dread2477,

The Polk Audio db1040 is a single voice coil 4ohm subwoofer. The db1040DVC is dual voice coil with 4ohm coils which can be wired in parallel for a 2ohm load, or in series for an 8ohm load. They are practically the same sub. The RMS power range is 50-270 watts, with a maximum peak power of 540 watts.

The full specifications including recommended enclosures and physical dimensions can be found here.

Hope this helps.

Best hook- up Polk psw10 sub woofer to yamaha rx-v663 receiver

You will not need to y connect your subwoofer, if you have only one RCA sub out on your receiver the other end of the RCA connector cable goes into the left input on most powered subs, there is no loss of signal, the option exist as some receiver do sport a double RCA sub out.
